SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
Building:
- Demonstrate basic office remodel skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper rack repair methods.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper dock maintenance methods.
- Demonstrate ability to repair or replace basic plumbing fixtures.
Mechanical:
- Demonstrate ability to properly repair and install power transmission equipment.
Pneumatic/Hydraulic:
- Demonstrate ability to properly perform preventative maintenance on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
HVAC:
- Demonstrate ability to properly perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
Fire Systems:
- Demonstrate knowledge of wet systems.
Electrical:
- Explain OHM's law.
- Demonstrate safe work practices around electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic 120 VAC circuits for lighting and various equipment.
- Understand the principles of 3 phase AC voltage sources (277/480 VAC).
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of the basic functions of a multi- meter.
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of the basic functions of a clamp- on amp meter.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Welding, Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, Construction Trades, or Air Conditioning Maintenance.
- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from - 20 to 130 degrees.
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work climbing, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, or in a prone position.
- Must be able to work with hands over head.
- Must be able to climb and work from a ladder.
