The Manager of Product Management will be responsible for the overall delivery, maintenance and ongoing support of the application program interfaces (APIs) that supply data to the guest-facing mobile platforms.

What will I be doing?


The Manager of Product Management will work with the appropriate mobile platform leads to evaluate product requirements and identify impacts to the Hilton Mobile APIs. The Team Member will be expected to prepare and maintain detailed documentation that can be utilized by internal creative and development teams as well as external partners to design and deliver enhancements to the APIs that fulfill the product requirements.


 


Other key priorities are listed below:

  • Responsible for partnering with the mobile platform leads to ensure the final product has met all of the stated requirements prior to its delivery

  • Help ensure no negative impacts to existing features and functionality are introduced as a result of the changes

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Hilton Mobile APIs, and provide ongoing guidance to various business and technology teams as appropriate

  • Closely partner with the various mobile platform leads to understand the impacts of the source data to the product features and functions

  • Gain a solid working knowledge of the various technology products and systems within Hilton Worldwide that supply the source data

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of business and technical experience, including others in the department and people in other departments and/or outside the corporation

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Digital space

  • A minimum of two (2) years of Managerial experience

  • In-depth knowledge of APIs and their role in mobile applications, including the use of JSON and XML

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of mobile web, iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices and operating systems

  • Experience working in agile environments with defect management tools, change requests creations, release management and maintenance and planning

  • Superior proficiency in digital features and functions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be highly-motivated with a desire to achieve success through collaboration and teamwork

  • Proficiency in computer programs essential to perform job tasks, such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and e-mail

  • Ability to travel as required

 It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  •  MA/MS Master's Degree
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Mobile Product and/or API role

  • A minimum of four (4) years of Managerial experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Hospitality and/or Travel industry
