About this job

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Immediate Care Clinic (1.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Gateway Medical Plaza in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

Be accountable for the direct and indirect quality care for patients according to the individualized needs of the patient.

Follow the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to consistently provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Prove competence in analyzing patient data with an understanding of cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, and spiritual aspects.

Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.

Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.

Required qualifications for this position include:

Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Oregon.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider

Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care area

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Emergency department or urgent care nursing experience is a huge plus.

This position works 12 hour shifts during the week and is required to work on some weekend 10 hour shifts.
