Providence is calling an Operating Room Attendant to Providence Regional Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.

Under direct supervision of the Operating Room ACM or designee, the Operating Room attendant will provide, but is not limited to, dusting, washing, stocking, trash handling, and proper use of facility products, chemicals, and solutions all in a timely, courteous, sanitary, and safe manner.

In this position you will:

Washing walls, windows, trashcans, kick boards on doors, and air exchange vents, throughout the Operating Room as needed.

Clean mirrors, shelves, sinks, tiles, toilet (inside and outside surface), and handrails in bathrooms.

Wipe walls, sinks, and hoppers (inside and outside surface) in the soiled laundry room.

Clean trash cans and laundry buckets inside and outside.

Clean shower room (tiled floor and walls) including changing shower curtain as needed.

Wash and clean chairs, tables, surgical bed tables, Monitors, sinks, bed, mattress and counters.

Remove heel marks, streaks, and foreign matter from floor and baseboard. Sweep and mop tiled floor.

Wipe down mobile documentation center (computer desk).

Clean and organize housekeeping cart and stock housekeeping supplies in janitor closets. Keep equipment storage area and housekeeping closet locked, organized and clean. Stock general housekeeping supplies.

Required qualifications for this position include:

Ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

High school graduate or equivalent

Previous experience in a health related facility OR one (1) year in janitorial services

Basic floor care knowledge and knowledge in institutional chemicals, equipment, and supplies
