Job Description
Manage Plant Operations including scheduling, inventory, manpower and equipment meeting customer requirements. Develop and control spending budget and capital spending plan within budget. Develop and implement programs to achieve corporate safety goals. Implement and control policy and procedures to meet local, state, and federal requirements. Facilitate new process/material and products through plant facility equipment. Review plant controls to ensure that product/packaging is consistently meeting customer expectations.
Review financial statements, production activity reports and other performance data to measure OEE, productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Foster skills to meet lean manufacturing, utilizing effective communication, clear expectations, providng all necessary tools, knowledge and techniques, and proactively manage associate issues/concerns/comments/suggestions. Successfully represent manufacturing team to senior management and implement motivational skills.
Required Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of Manufacturing experience preferred in a chemical plant/packaging plant environment. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of quality standards, production processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
