FRANCES SCHERVIER HOME AND HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Head Nurse is responsible for the care of a designated group of residents. The Registered Nurse utilizes all components of the nursing process in providing care that reflects and understanding of individual differences and needs and recognition of the resident's rights. The R.N. directs and assists assigned nursing personnel in resident care. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Required to be a Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or AA). 2. Current and valid license as a registered nurse.One (1) to three (3) years medical/surgical experience preferred, or experience which have provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practices. 3. Genuine interest in gerontological nursing. 4. Ability to read and write English. 5. Good verbal, written, communication and listening skills.
