Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Assembly Engineer opening to join our Amana Manufacturing organization.

What You Will Do

Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes)

Supervise Lean Sigma techs on standard work (assembly line details, ergonomics, product improvements, etc.)

Control pilot projects (document issues, materials, etc.)

Lead key projects (factory utilization, product packaging, redesign, etc.)

Cost improvement and capital improvement initiatives

Establishing labor standards, reliable assembly methods, process flow, fixturing, and project prioritization

Safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives

Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective & preventative actions

Perform Lean Sigma project work, and implement Lean Manufacturing methodology throughout area of responsibility

What You Need to Succeed

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

2-7 years related experience preferred, including experience in Lean Manufacturing Methods

Project management experience

Understanding and working knowledge of statistics and quality control measures and methods

PC proficiency utilizing MS Office and MS Project

Communication and support to 24-hour / day assembly processes

Proven leadership ability, excellent communicator, confidence inspirer, and self motivator
