Staff Accountant

Our manufacturing client in Plano is hiring in their accounting department! The Staff Accountant will handle the following duties:

Audit and key travel expenses

Key Freight invoices

Run checks and process wire transfers.

Apply deposits from customers and make collection.

Apply the wire transfer payments.

Generate invoices for jobs.

Generate credit memos and apply them in the systems.

Analyze customer credit and release customer orders on hold.

Perform cash management.

Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.

File and pay sales tax to multiple states in a timely manner.

Update and maintained fixed assets, depreciation, amortization schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.

Post general ledger, record miscellaneous entries during month end.

Prepare general ledger entries, accruals, reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain general ledger.

Reconcile numerous accounts on a monthly basis including fixed assets and depreciation, payroll taxes and employee deductions, deferred and accrued expenses, prepaids.

Perform cash and bank statement reconciliation.

Prepare, generate income statement, balance sheet, trial balance and review financial statements.

Provide cash flow and financial projections for planning purposes.

Perform month-end and year-end close process.

Prepare consolidated financial statements.

Interact with Internal/External auditors in completing audits.

Requirements:
*Bachelors degree
*2-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including credit, collections, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and month-end close
*Understanding of financial statements
*Proficient in Excel
*Works well independently
*Manufacturing experience a plus
