The Hyatt Place Topeka just adjacent to the New River Hill Shopping Center and four miles west of downtown Topeka, the Hyatt Place Topeka hotel is ideally located off I-70 and within close proximity to I-35 and Highway 75. We are now accepting applications for a Gallery Host. This position pays $9.00 to $10.00 per hour and normally receives 32-40 hours a week.

As Gallery Host you will be expected to manage the guest services operations while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction possible.

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process guest check-in and check-outs smoothly and correctly.

Execute all cash handling, check, and credit policies in order to accurately balance transactions, charges and payments, and guest billing.

Deliver all guest messages, mail, and packages in a timely manner.

Ensure that accurate guest and room status information is maintained and properly communicated by completing thorough reviews as assigned.

Operate front desk equipment including but not limited to: switchboard, Property Management* System (WinPM), fire panel, Central Reservation System, copier, calculator, fax, and printers.

Maintain consistent communication, especially with housekeeping and engineering departments.

Complete necessary shift paperwork and ensure accuracy on: shift checklist, log book, courtesy call back log, and all other forms or checklists assigned.

Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.

Beer and Liquor, The Hyatt Place offers beer and liquor offerings.

Job Requirements:

Communication - Ability to read, write and speak English commands

Mathematical - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and, divide. Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and count cash

Technical - Ability to operate and control equipment such as; computers, switchboard, radio, copy / fax machines etc.

Physical - Required to stand for long periods of time

Availability - must be able to work a varied schedule including, nights, weekends and holidays.
