Our client, a regional credit union, is seeking a Mortgage Processor to join their team.

MUST HAVES:
2+ years Mortgage Processing
2+ years Processing 2nd Mortgages
Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
Up to date knowledge or mortgage/loan laws and regualtions.

Major Function:
To assist with the various paper work in the Mortgage Loan Department. Under the general supervision of the Mortgage Loan Department Manager, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established standards (including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, length of employment)

RESPONSIBILITES:
Verifies accuracy of pertinent credit information in the loan file. Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval. Processes and mails adverse action on loans denied and approval letters to applicants.
Records data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loan approved, cancelled, or denied.
Prepares title orders, legal and loan documents relating to mortgage loan closings in a timely and accurate manner.
Processes letters and other correspondence as requested.
Maintain knowledge of rules, policies and procedures governing all classes of loans.
Orders flood insurance policies.
Orders credit reports, appraisals, title work and other documentation as necessary to support the loan application.
Prepares government loans for both processing and closing. Works with PMI companies for approval process.
Assists with sale of loans to the FHLBB, including but not limited to daily pricing, contracting loan commitments, loan deliveries, and annual audits.
Communicates with local attorneys and realtors regarding the status of loan files.
Assists with the monthly reporting in the mortgage loan department.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
