Heat Treat Services Manager - Hanover, PA

A Heat Treat Services Manager is needed on day shift for a manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA for a direct hire opportunity with a Continuous Improvement focus! Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Heat Treat Services Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of heat treating including: production, quality, maintenance, receiving, and shipping in both the Hanover, PA and Wytheville, VA facilities. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring and training personnel and facility/physical plant up-keep and capital improvements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: *Manage activities of workers engaged in heat-treating processes *Conduct metallurgical analysis on metal samples *Maintain and expand outside customer base for Heat Treating/Blasting services *Promote a continuous improvement environment *Collaborate with other departments regarding: Safety & Quality *Monitor expenses to reduce costs & maintain product quality Qualifications: *5 plus years of progressive experience in heat treating (Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or related field preferred) *Prior experience / implementation of: continuous improvement tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. (Lean Certified preferred) *Knowledge of Safety systems *Planning and organizational skills *Supervisory experience and skills in motivation and coaching *Proficient with: Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio to analyze data and trends *Knowledge of business metrics and experience in the development of KPIs *Valid driver's license & ability to travel up to 30% (domestic & international) Please send your resume to: Gisele.Nadeau@Manpower.com for consideration
