General Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for: providing maintenance repairs to resort units, public areas and administrative offices.
- Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
What you will be doing
- Performing preventative maintenance on hotel guest rooms and common areas as well as responding to guest requests.
- Some basic carpentry, electrical and HVAC skills.
- An ideal individual would be able to quickly adapt in a changing hotel environment always putting the guest needs first.
- This person would also assist in transporting hotel guests in a shuttle van.
Requirements
- A working knowledge of refrigeration; air conditioning; electric; plumbing; kitchen equipment and other mechanical devices
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as heavy lifting, working on ladders, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate on a two- way radio in English.
- Must be available to work all shifts including weekend and holidays. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
