Your primarily responsibility will be for the effective delivery and design of training programs and materials across the organization from an individual who will keep abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems in several functional areas. This will be done in accordance with management and functional leaders to gather information on business needs to design instructor led, Web-based and e-learning training including training processes and procedures. Identifying training needs for facilitator guides as wells as train the trainer sessions by gathering Web-based techniques and interactive learning strategies. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines.
 
Part of Learning Solutions, our Instructional Designer team is responsible for applying instructional design and development principles and processes to produce effective, engaging and innovative programs to support our internal operations business segments. As a member of this team, you will partner with a Learning Consultant to determine and propose performance improvement solutions, including training or other activities to ensure learning transfer occurs and performance gaps are met. Our design team conducts needs assessment and skills analysis for the business functions we support. We then use the analysis to design and develop training and performance-support solutions. Your primary goal is to ensure learning transfer occurs and to successfully address performance gaps.
 
As an Online Learning Instructional Designer, you will be responsible to keep abreast of various design strategies, with emphasis in Online Learning. You will create original synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions in addition to converting existing instructor-led training programs to Online Learning programs. The Online Learning Instructional Designer will apply innovative and creative strategies including but not limited to web-based tutorials, documented procedures, audio and video vignettes, and simulations using various technology tools. In this role, you may act as a project manager over smaller efforts or be part of a design team with focus on larger efforts that may include a dedicated project manager.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Applies a systems approach to curriculum design, re-design and development
Participates in the planning, development, and evaluation of learning programs from new hire training materials supporting ongoing learning and professional development of our operations learner audiences
Define learning objectives
Creates or converts existing instructor-led curriculum into an online learning format

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in applicable field of instructional design and technology
2+ years of experience designing Web-based training in a corporate environment
2+ years of experience working in an instructional design role
1+ years of experience conducting classroom training and/or seminar/workshop topics
Proven experience with Adobe Captivate, Articulate Suite, Storyline, Engage or equivalent online learning development tools
Experience with incorporating multiple media elements in to learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation, and self-developed graphics
Experience in conducting learning analysis
Experience in building engaging, effective online learning programs and tools using current and successful strategies
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Assets:

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Visio
Proven ability to produce quality results using rapid development models and tools
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision making abilities
Strong time management, planning skills
Highly motivated, eager to make a difference in the learning process
Very creative and looking for an opportunity to apply this creativity in the form of interactions, media inclusion and motivation strategies to produce unique and successful learning programs
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting
