Staffmark has immediate openings for an experienced customer service professional in the Palo Alto area to coordinate deliveries and dispatch shipments. Ensure daily customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans are met with respect to performance and profitability. We are looking for someone who is empowered and likes to solve problems for our customers. If you are the type of person who lives to make the customer happy, we are looking for you!
Responsibilities:

Dispatch shipments to motor carriers by following customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans to achieve established customer objectives

Monitor and ensure shipments are confirmed, picked up, and delivered as scheduled

Monitor carrier performance and report carrier failures

Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and employees

Maintain and manage accurate records and submit them in a timely manner

Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements •PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred), •Strong communication and organizational skills •Prior dispatch experience in a logistics environment strongly preferred •Previous customer service experience is required Minimum Qualifications •Work flexible hours in a fast-paced, high-stress environment including weekend work.
