We are seeking an individual to fill a Regulatory Report Programmer/Analyst position which will be responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports. This role supports the regulatory claims reporting processes for the Employer and Individual market and will work closely with leaders of other internal departments working to meet the regulatory reporting requirements of our external constituents. This individual must have/show the ability to successfully manage small to large tasks, work effectively with project team members and efficiently manage assignments to prioritize client needs. The individual will also provide operational analysis utilized for decision making, may make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed.Primary Responsibilities:

Analyzing and manipulating large sets of healthcare data
Programming data in SAs
Performing a variety of research and consulting-related tasks
Working with less structured, more complex issues
Individual will be responsible for producing and assisting others with ongoing reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly), new report development and ad-hoc report/data requests
Contributing and delivering on the full lifecycle of reporting and analytic requests.
Gathering requirements from internal and external customers
Creating data/report specifications and sample data sets
Performing necessary research on potential data sources, structures, tables and elements
Evaluating and ensuring the accuracy of reported information
Collaborating with partners and colleagues on decision involving data sources, collection methods and approaches
Producing and developing end product deliverables (data sets, reports, analysis, etc.) and appropriate documentation
Individual will play an active role in improving the overall analytical environment of the team
Contributing to the development of new department tools, information systems and data sources
Monitoring new data being incorporated into the existing and/or new data warehouses and learn how to use the new data for project development and analysis
Provide feedback on issues and quality concerns with existing data sources
Utilize and share statistical knowledge, programming techniques, and workflow management skills in data management and analysis with the team
Individual will play an active role in project related work impacted the team

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Intermediate to advanced SAS programming skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must have experience presenting to and managing multiple levels of key stakeholders (Including technical and non-technical audiences.)
Candidate will be a team player that is able to successfully manage multiple requests, projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines
Candidate need to be able to work independently with limited supervision
Aptitude for interpreting data outputs and articulating findings to managers
1 plus SQL experience
Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new programming languages when needed
Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to view challenges as opportunities
Must be able to execute multi-step data management tasks, recognize technical problems and solve with some supervision
Must be detail-oriented
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Role requires proficiency with desktop productivity tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of UHC E&I claim platforms (UNET/COSMOS)
Ideal candidate will have experience working with Regulatory Reporting to external constituents
Ideal candidate will have Healthcare Industry experience, preferable with claims
1+ years of reporting experience
Experience with Business Object
Crystal Report skills and SQL Server experience
