Hiring X-ray Technicians in Houston, TX
 
The successful Medical Assistant X-ray Technician candidate will be part of a team dedicated to improving the delivery and quality of health care that is patient-centered, safe and effective in a fast-paced environment. 
 
The Medical Assistant X-ray Technician is responsible for taking x-rays and will assist with vitals, blood draws, and lab work as well.
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Performs x-rays and EKGs
Accurately collect and record patient data including information about the reason they are presenting to the facility and previous medical conditions
Takes vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight and temperature and documents all information in the patient's chart
Preparing patients for examinations
Keeps exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilizations as required
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
Preparing and administering injections/vaccinations
Gives instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
Assists physician and physician assistant in exam rooms with minor procedures
Provide excellent customer service
All other duties as assigned by clinical manager

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomist experience
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or 3+ years of military trained MA experience
1+ year of clinical medical assistant experience with emphasis on excellent customer service, ability to multi-task, work as part of a collaborative team, and possess effective communication and decision making skills
CPR certified or willing to obtain upon hire
X-ray certified.  Must be ARRT registered and MRT certified by the applicable state Department of Health. Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain credentials at all times
Effective communication skills
Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
Takes initiative, creative, has  problem solving ability, is adaptable, and flexible
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Successful candidate must submit to TB testing and vaccinations required by company policy
Preferred Qualifications: 

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
Bi-lingual English/Spanish
