This position is located in the Cleveland Clinic Florida Hospital.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Reimbursement Specialist I under general supervision of the Manager of Revenue and Chargemaster supports the hospital revenue cycle by completing reviews and processing appropriate actions to work EAPM (Epic Resolute) Charge Capture workqueues assigned to department. Supports clinical departments using QSight by working QSight Billing Interface Exceptions report and as needed initiates new supply EAP requests into Craneware. Participates as assigned in projects and processes initiated through the CCHS Revenue Cycle of new clinical information systems, billing applications, or performance improvement related chargemaster or charge capture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires in-depth working knowledge of CPT, HCPCSII, and modifiers; and UB technical billing form, reimbursement methodologies with emphasis on CMS OPPS, CCI, and OCE edits.
Be detailed oriented with strong critical thinking skills related to analyzing charge or claim edit errors.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and be able to resolve problems independently.
Experience with Epic HB Resolute and Craneware CMT preferred.
Intermediate proficiency of Excel and other Microsoft Office suite of products.
Above knowledge, skills and abilities normally attained through completion of an Associate's degree in Health Information Management Coding or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or other Healthcare related field. Additional related experience with appropriate specialized training and certification may substitute for the degree requirement.
B. Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum two years of hospital claim error reviews or related revenue cycle experience preferred. Experience with hospital chargemaster preferred.
C. Required Licensure, Certification or Registry
CCS, CPC-H, or CPC certification
