Florida Hospital North Pinellas seeks to hire a Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
As a member of the Adventist Healthcare System, our mission is to extend the Healing Ministry of Christ and to provide extraordinary compassionate care to each patient every day. Florida Hospital North Pinellas is a 120-bed hospital that provides strategic medical care through the development of specialized Centers of Excellence. The Joint Commission has certified Florida Hospital North Pinellas in Stroke, Diabetes, Total Joint and Spine.
The Florida Hospital North Pinellas Nursing Program is designed to teach and support new graduate nurses with less than one year of RN experience.
Candidates who receive job offers are hired as full-time staff nurses and placed into the appropriate training program for that unit. To be considered for these positions, you must have obtained a State of Florida RN License, Valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements certification.
For Graduate Nurse, graduate of an accredited school of nursing (CCNE or ACEN; formally known as NLNAC). You must upload a copy of your completed, unofficial transcript(s). Transcripts must show your name, the degree obtained (or currently pursuing), and the cumulative GPA.
General Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides self-directed, effective nursing care to groups of patients and other duties as assigned in accordance with Division of Nursing standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 464.003 (3) (a): "Practice of professional nursing means the performance of those acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skill based upon applied practices of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences which shall include, but not limited to:
1. The observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured or infirmed; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health and prevention of illness and others.
2. The administration of medication and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.
3. The supervision and teaching of other personnel in the theory and performance of any of the above acts."
