Providence is calling a full time, night shift Registered Nurse (RN) to the Emergency Department at the Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
The Emergency Department RN supports the Mission and Vision of Saint Johns Health Center. This is achieved by demonstrating the ability to effectively manage and prioritize patient care within the Emergency Department.
Demonstrate reliability and professional accountability.
Provide care based on scientific principles, and adapts interventions to meet individualized patient needs.
Demonstrate teamwork and initiative by cooperating and interacting with physicians, physician assistants, interdepartmental staff, and families to maintain communication resulting in positive patient outcomes.
Perform patient assessment through observation of the patient's physical condition and behavior, and through interpretation of information obtained from the patient, family, and the patient care team.
Maintain productivity by establishing priorities and practicing cost effective methods in the delivery of care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support card (BLS) for Healthcare Providers American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card from the American Heart Association
Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
Minimum two years patient care experience in an acute hospital setting
