Description

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate openings for a Shipping Department Lead. We are seeking dynamic, hard-working people. A desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization is a plus. In addition you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

The challenging responsbilities of the position include:
  • Effectively and accurately wave planning workload, and tracking appropriately.
  • Anticipating and coordinating scheduling needs and workflow to satisfy customer needs.
  • Training and mentoring team members throughout the facility in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline Core Values.
  • Ensuring that all LMS observations are completed on time and are filled out accurately.
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe work environment for DC team members, includin: retraining team members and supporting a safety culture through team meetings and activities to enhance safety awareness.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate order receipt and shipment.
  • As a member of the DC leadership team this position will be responsible in ensuring accuracy of the inventory.
  • Performing slot checks and slot maintenance.
  • Supervising branch team members in various areas (i.e. shipping, replenishment, receiving, dock, etc.).
  • Assisting with picking, checking, loading and processing inbound and outbound product.
  • Effectively communicating with branch management regarding daily operations.

Qualification

  • High school diploma. 1-2 years lead experience.
  • Candidate must have a high sense of urgency and customer service.
  • Ability to effectively speak before groups of team members and customers of Medline.
  • Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Operate MHE if necessary.
  • Proficient in SAP & Catalyst.
  • Proficient to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Proficient in arithmetic.
