Automation Personnel Services in Decatur is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator in Elkmont, AL

REQUIREMENTS
A college degree in Human Resources preferred
Two years or more working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, STD, benefit processing.
Working knowledge of general office operations: fax, copier, and filing. Accurate typing skills required. Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint. Access, and Publisher experience is a plus.
Working knowledge of Wage and Hour provisions as it relates to payroll and timekeeping provisions.
Previous experience with Human Resource Data Systems and safety data management.
The ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and due diligence.
Friendly and effective in communication and interpersonal skills when interfacing with visitors, associates and staff.
Willingness to act in an employee service capacity to assist in a variety of job related situations, including the ability to support 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift facility functions and to support 3rd shift associates, when necessary.
A Self-starter with good organizational skills and the ability to be flexible to changing priorities.
Capable of combining multiple reports and spreadsheets in an organized presentation.
KEY TASKS
Perform clerical, copying, faxing, mailing, phone answering, receptionist and office functions for the management team. Includes organizing meetings and in house luncheons for staff, visitors and associate recognition events.
Prepare and when needed assist staff in creating technical reports, monthly summaries and related reports. Provide analysis of payroll and related accounts.
Review and submit weekly payroll hours to ensure timely processing of exempt, non-exempt, hourly, and contract payrolls.
Maintain attendance reports on all staff keeping current records on vacations, holidays and days off sick. Maintain detailed records for hourly and non-exempt staff of hours worked.
Answer routine procedural issues when employees have questions. Keep management staff aware of inquiries, referring employees to the management team on policy issues.
Assist in the administration of the site EPA and Safety program requirements.
Process HRIS transactions related to hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.
Process all temporary hire functions within the facility
Handle all personnel, policy, project and operating procedures and practices confidentially.
Complete other functions that may be assigned.
Pay is $16 starting
$18-$20 when perm
Temp to perm position
