Position Summary:
Reporting to the Web Designer II, the Web Designer/Content Developer will assist the Web Designer in the creation, design and execution of a wide variety of creative projects including homepage messages, website category pages, online marketing banners and other digital assets. This designer will develop site content and graphics by coordination with copywriters and category web merchants. This person must be able to creatively convey a message with graphics, typography and usability best practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Education:
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field.
Experience:
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator)
• 1-2 years experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript
• Understanding of web standards and best practices with strong design and layout skills
• Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, such as mobile / responsive design
• Portfolio demonstrating both graphic design principles and technical expertise
• CMS and blogging platform experience
• 1-3 years experience in web design
• Experience in eCommerce a plus

- Design a wide variety of creative projects including: homepage messages, website category pages, online marketing banners and other digital assets. Work with multiple stakeholders within and outside of ecommerce team to ensure designs achieve intended goals.
- Translate visual prototypes into launch- ready code, including working with external vendors (testing & optimization, SEO) and IT to understand requirements and ensure successful launch.
- Test and troubleshoot pages on multiple browsers and platforms.
- Administer ecommerce content library
Education:
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field.
