Summary:
The Used Online Firearms Specialist is responsible for preparing used firearms for online sale and assisting with customers' technical questions.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Operate within the UDW portion of the Greenville Distribution Center under direction from the Director -- Operations.
Work with retail stores, Gander Direct merchandisers, and Gander Mountain Base Camp merchant teams regarding purchase and transfer of used firearms to the Greenville Used Direct Warehouse (UDW). Process used online firearms according to Gander Mountain policies and procedures as well as Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) policies and procedures to ensure merchandise is distributed efficiently and accurately. Assist in developing website copy on technical aspects and features of used firearms. Assist as needed with the receipt, putaway, picking and shipping of used and new firearms. Provide outstanding customer service by answering all customer questions that pertain to online used firearms' technical aspects. Perform general cleaning duties of used firearms to prepare for website production and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Review and analyze inventory for used firearms. Participate in physical inventories of online used firearms as needed. Non-Essential Functions:
1. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
BA/BS Degree with a concentration in Business Management, e-Commerce or Retail Merchandising preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Years of Experience:
2 years in a retail or e-commerce environment working with firearms.
Other Qualifications:
Outstanding knowledge of all types of firearms and hunting. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a working knowledge of Federal and State Firearms regulations and laws. Ability to understand and explain technical features and uses of speciality used firearms. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates, customers and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively maneuver in a Windows environment and through Microsoft Office products. Strong written communication skills.
