Job Description:
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers (2 minute production cycle for 15 drink tray, Non Alcoholic)
Prepare beverages as ordered
Build relationships with guests
Keep bar area clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
Operate a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and give a guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
Follow guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or NC ABC Commission
Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Work all Non-High Business days unless deemed fit by supervisor/manager
Work slowest wells/bars in order to perfect the trade
Work for share of tips until they have completed all training classes and passed all proficiency tests including audition using their bartending skills
After successful completion they may work for a Level 2 to cover PTO, EDO, or other time off at a full share of tips, but never can work as a Level 3
Move to a Level 2 when an opening occurs based on scores and auditions
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
One year prior customer service experience required
Six months experience as a bartender at a full service bar or complete documented training program preferred
CARE certified
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of beverage operations
Willing to learn and be adaptable
Attention to detail/observant
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Must complete and pass weekly testing and qualifications, failure to do so will result in re-assignment
APPEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Overall Guidelines (applied equally to male/female):
Appearance: Must maintain Personal Best image portrayed at time of hire
Jewelry, if issued, must be worn. Otherwise, tasteful and simple jewelry is permitted; no large chokers, chains or bracelets
No faddish hairstyles or unnatural colors are permitted
Males:
Hair must not extend below top of shirt collar
Hands and fingernails must be clean and nails neatly trimmed at all times. No colored polish is permitted
Eye and facial makeup is not permitted
Shoes will be solid black leather or leather type with rubber (non-slip) soles
Beards: Male employees are permitted to wear beards or goatees that are neatly trimmed and clean and no more than one inch in length. Beards may be grown initially during scheduled time off of at least five days; no "shadow" beards are permitted
Mustaches: Mustaches may not exceed one-fourth inch below the corner of the lip and may not be an extreme style (e.g. patches, waxed fu Manchu, handlebars, or Buster Keatons). Mustaches must be neatly trimmed and clean
Females:
Hair must be teased, curled, or styled every day you work. Hair must be worn down at all times, no exceptions
Nail polish can be clear, white, pink or red color only. No exotic nail art or length
Makeup (face powder, blush and mascara) must be worn and applied in complimentary colors. Lip color must be worn at all times
Shoes will be solid black leather or leather type with rubber (non-slip) soles
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
Must be able to lift 70 pounds
Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds
Must be able to be on feet for 8 hour shift
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
