In this role:

• Take business requirements and develop the total technical design for assigned mid-sized projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.
• Follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.
• Conduct appropriate test reviews on assigned projects as necessary. Present findings and offer solutions to management.
  
  NATURE AND SCOPE -
• Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
• No direct responsibility for supervising others.
  
  ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses
  
  EDUCATION REQUIRED -
  The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

  PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
  Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

• 3+ years hands-on experience in the Java web application development stack (OOP, JEE, Servlet, JMS, JDBC, DAO, JEE Security) are highly preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in standard web frameworks and languages (HTML, CSS, JavaSript, AJAX)
• 2+ years experience in web service development frameworks and methodologies (RESTful and SOAP).
• 2+ years experience in XML and JSON.
• 2+ years experience with standard SQL against Oracle DB and/or SqlServer.
• 2+ years experience with developing using Eclipse, Jenkins, Sonar and other continuous integration testing frameworks/tools.
• 2+ years experience developing on the Linux OS.
• Experience in agile and waterfall SDLC methods.
• Retail Industry best practices and operational knowledge a plus.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Technology trends and innovations; Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills
• Basic, networking, and LAN administration. 

• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
• Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner.
• Solid experience in documenting requirements.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, databases, life cycle methodologies.
