The Carpenter/Maintenance is responsible for the construction, repair and maintenance of building surfaces and furnishings, creating and maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for patients, employees and visitors. Behavioral Hospital setting, exposure to patients so confidentiality is extremely important.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform carpentry work such as dry wall, framing, fitting doors, repairing door locks, sanding, and painting, replacing molding, cove base, exterior repairs such as roof, windows and siding, minor electrical repairs, plumbing and other general maintenance. HVAC and electrical experience preferred. Shoveling snow from walks and driveways as well as spreading salt to prevent ice build up. Exposure to fire safety equipment, generator checks, and pump checks. Must able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and stand for periods of time. On call responsibilities are mandatory.

High school graduate and trade school preferred 2 years experience in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, building, equipment and utility maintenance. Valid driver's license Knowledge of maintenance, power and hand tools.
