CNC Machinist - Full-time / Part-time

CNC LATHE/MILL MACHINIST

PAY RATE: $18-$22.00 hour (depending upon experience)

MONDAY-FRIDAY

MUST be available to work all shifts: (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

BACKGROUND & DRUG TESTS REQUIRED

MUST have METATARSAL BOOTS

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Set up and operate various CNC Machining and Turning Centers to machine components in accordance with engineering drawing specifications.


TRAINING REQUIRED:

Experience operating CNC Lathes, Vertical & Horizontal, Horizontal & Multi-Axis Machining Centers


NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

-Operate CNC Lathes, Horizontal & Boring mills, machining tools and machine shop inspection tools/gages
-EdiT and make general updates to the CNC programs
-Must have solid understanding of G-Code programs
-Mazatrol Programming knowledge is a plus
-Set up and verify pieces/fixtures prior to machining
-Make, select and grind suitable tools, select feeds, speeds, coolants, cutting and lubricating oils
-Must be able to read blueprints and be able to plan, layout machine components and use precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with drawing specifications and tolerances
-Perform basic tooling and equipment maintenance
-Accurately account for all material completion sheets and job work time
-Maintain equipment, tools and general shop area in a clean, professional manner
