Kumon Math and Reading Assistant - Immediate Opening - Part-time

We are looking for part-time Kumon Graders and Assistants

This post is for a part time position offering a maximum of 9 hours a week. The hours are on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45 pm to 8:00 pm (Candidates can also apply even if they are available for lesser number of hours). Additional grading days/hours are also available, please see at the bottom.

Seeking enthusiastic team members to work with young children to develop math and reading skills using Kumon method. The successful candidate will work directly with the lead instructor to foster student independence and confidence while strengthening necessary academic skills.

While employed, the successful candidate may work in a variety of positions such as a grader (Candidates will do grading using Kumon answer key) providing valuable and timely feedback to instructor, an early learning assistant providing guidance to young students, a primary instruction assistant helping students acclimatize to the Kumon program (Candidates will use Kumon methodology), an oral tester helping students in oral reading and math table skills (Candidate will use Kumon tables) and other such tasks as needed. Training will be provided, but some experience working with young children may be beneficial.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and have a high level of competency.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Immediate Opening

• No experience required.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation or live close to the center.
• Background check required.
• Desirable to have skills to work with children.
• Desirable to have understanding of math and reading concepts.
• High school or college students are encouraged to apply.
• Training will be provided. 
• Additional grading hours are available on Monday and Friday between 10:00AM – 2:30PM.
