About this job
* This position is part of a Production Control team, which is responsible for inventory accuracy and material movement to meet production and customer needs in a fast-paced, ever-changing manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
Interface with production planners to understand monthly requirements.
Monitor production jobs in Oracle/QAS and perform material transactions.
Provide materials to the manufacturing shop floor in support of monthly production schedule requirements.
Coordinate shipments between the manufacturing plant, warehouse and customers.
Interface with warehousing to maintain inventory integrity.
Perform daily inventory counts.
Conduct monthly production inventory closings.
Resolve inventory issues and develop preventative measures.
Purchase, track and maintain non-production material orders.
Interface with accounts payable to resolve invoicing issues.
Interface with Global Purchasing and product delivery teams to coordinate trials for cost down activities and new production qualifications.
Communicate with operations, quality, engineering, supervisors and IWF employees on a daily basis.
Candidate Education:
Minimum Associates degree
Preferred Bachelors degree
Preferred 2 - 5 yrs. Planning or Manufacturing shop floor experience
Candidate Background: Skills, Knowledge & Ability: Minimum requirements:
Minimum: Good organisational skills to manage large amounts of data to achieve work objectives.
Minimum: Able to demonstrate PC literacy -- Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint intermediate skills
Preferred: Experience in use of Oracle Operating Systems
Minimum: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) via email and phone
Minimum: Proven interpersonal skills that support effective team working
Minimum: Improvement and solution driven approach to work-related issues
Minimum: Ability to work logically under pressure
Preferred: Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning with previous experience in a purchasing environment
Minimum: Demonstrates drive and commitment towards the achievement of goals; using own initiative and working without supervision
Minimum: Flexibility to undertake new roles and tasks as needed
Minimum: Customer focused attitude
