We are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Communications capable of integrating into an experienced infrastructure team responsible for many aspects of the company's global network infrastructure, services and Expense Management. Reporting to the AVP Director of Network Services, this individual will manage several teams of multiple-disciplinary infrastructure engineers. Specific team responsibilities include day-to-day operation, monitoring and maintenance of global networking systems. The successful candidate must have experience managing people and projects involving local & wide area networks, Internet and DMZ networks, security systems, management and reporting tools, load balancing services, VoIP networks and remote access systems. This individual must also have a strong background in Telecom Expense Management and budgeting experience.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Oversees engineering projects and lead project implementation as required
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams on project implementation.
  • Coordinate with global teams to resolve network issues within defined SLA.
  • Work with vendors whenever required with proper coordination and follow-up.
  • Plan for capacity, growth and associated budgeting.
  • Assist in the development of standardized IT practices and procedures.
  • Produce and update performance reports, operational procedures and design documents.
  • Work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management.
  • Acts as initial point of inquiry for strategic requests and an escalation point for issues not resolved at lower levels.
  • Conducts performance appraisals of staff and provides career guidance through regular coaching to develop them for future growth and expanded assignments.
  • Provides direction for recommending, testing, evaluating and deploying new network technologies.

    Responsible for collecting and submitting budgetary data for Annual and Long Range Capital and Expense planning.
  • Coordinate operational and project-based activities of global network team

    Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of technical delivery lifecycle including technologies/platforms, frameworks, project management and/or other methodologies applicable to assigned domain.
  • Recognized thought leader for one or more practices or technical capabilities within assigned domain.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct multiple, geographically distributed work groups comprised of disparate skills.
  • Strong performance management skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members and self-accountable for commitments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding and fluid environment; remains calm under pressure; demonstrates excellent conflict management skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work up and down the organization; able to influence others to achieve results.
  • Fluent with desktop productivity suite (e.g. Email, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
  • 10+ years Network Communications experience.
  • 5 years in Management.
  • Knowledge of Local and Wide Area Network Communications, MPLS, Budgeting and Managing multiple teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math or Business Management, or the equivalent of 10 years of experience in the voice and data communications network environments.
