Job Summary The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is currently seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant to support divisional faculty and assist other 2 admins in our Electrophysiology Cardiology section. This position will be located in the Cardiovascular Center.

Responsibilities* Provide responsible and complex administrative support to the divisional faculty and assist other 2 area admins. of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Possibility of scheduling meetings for assigned faculty and maintain the electronic calendar as needed, including exercising judgment on setting priorities for the effective use of time. Arrange travel arrangements. These duties include, but are not limited to, the development of itinerary flight schedule and reservations, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and all other applicable arrangements, and completion of travel expense reports. Monitor and triage all incoming calls, and initiate appropriate judgment and follow up. Sort and distribute incoming mail, drop off and pick up laundered lab coats and other basic administrative and secretarial office duties as required. Provide back up and cross coverage for other Electrophysiology Administrative Assistants.

Required Qualifications* Minimum of two years of recent responsible secretarial and administrative experience. Proven ability to be responsible for fulfilling requests. Ability to type with speed and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with faculty and staff as a team member. Positive attitude and customer service orientation. Excellent attendance record. Reasonable knowledge of medical terminology. Exhibit expert computer skills, including the ability to demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Understands and demonstrates the core concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC), including: Respect and Dignity, Information Sharing, Participation, and Team Collaboration.

Desired Qualifications* Previous experience with UM internal systems, including MPathways.

Work Schedule Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch)
