Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager (Front of the House Manager) for the Bulldog Pub at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA . Located in the new state of the art Hemmingson Building, the Bull Dog Pub is the focal point for student, faculty and staff gatherings and features a great location, fun environment and FANTASTIC food -- including full sit down menu, quick service takeout menu, and local wines and draft beers. The alcohol focus will be on education and providing "over 21" students a safe, healthy dining and social venue. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this Front of the House Restaurant Manager will be responsible for coordinating activities with the expediter and BOH for smooth service operations; maintain all Food and Alcohol safety regulations, and will be responsible for scheduling, hiring, training up to 15 FOH employees.

If you have the following experience -- this great position may be for you:

Several years supervisory experience in a restaurant/pub environment where food and alcohol are serv ed (ex: Applebees, Chili's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Denny's etc). Ability to coordinate Front of the House activities with the Expediter and Back of the House for smooth service. TIPS training and understanding of alcohol service regula tions. Sound judgement and ability to maintain stellar customer service and a welcoming dining experience while maintaining high level of service, regulations, client expectations. Solid cost control experience -- labor/food costs, scheduling, use of and monitoring of POS systems and cash handling procedures. Acumen for ordering and inventory for food and alcohol systems / vendors. Position Summary

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
