As a Information Assurance Security Operations Analyst you would assist the client in performing security engineering, vulnerability management and security monitoring activities to meet DoD Information Assurance requirements. Specifically, conduct vulnerability assessments & reporting, STIG compliance checks/reporting, audits, track & monitor vulnerability progress, Update daily security monitoring log, and follow up with application and system owners for resolution. Assist in the development and maintenance of DIACAP documentation & artifacts and improve information assurance processes throughout the SDLC.

Are you interested? The ideal Information Assurance Security Operations Analyst candidate will possess the following experience:

Required Skills:
- Candidate must possess at least 3 years of experience performing technical information assurance activities (i.e. vulnerability assessments, continuous monitoring, controls assessment, operational security)
- At least 5 years system administration or security related experience working with at least one of the following OS's: Windows, Solaris, and/or Linux.
- Ability to professionally facilitate client meetings and prepare/present information briefs in support of cyber security projects
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification (CISSP or other based on DoD 8570.01M requirements)

Preferred Skills
- Prior experience supporting Information Assurance processes and activities, such as DIACAP, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and DISA STIG compliance in a DoD environment.
- Knowledge of firewalls, routers and switches, ports/protocols
- Ability to translate information security policies and requirements to technical & functional teams
- Knowledge of the DoD IAVM and DISA STIG compliance and ability to drive process improvement
- Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance regulations and policies
- Prior experience conducting vulnerability scans with Nessus or Retina vulnerability assessment tools
- Ability to create custom scripts to automate reporting processes
- Experience working with SIEM Tools (i.e. ArcSight) in an analyst function and responding to alerts Microsoft Excel and pivot table creating
- Education Level: 4 year degree, or equivalent experience
