Mechanical Designer - Full-time / Part-time

Currently hiring a Mechanical Designer on behalf of a large modern marketing company in Butler, PA.

Job Duties:

• Produce engineered drawings
• Prepare Bills of Material
• Prepare Instruction sheets
• Consults with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards
• Work closely with Engineering to assure manufacturability of a design
• Source specialty materials, hardware, and components
• Create accurate models of sourced hardware, components, and existing fixtures and floor layouts
• Creation of various file formats as needed for internal team and external vendors
• Prepare engineered mechanical drawings, bill of materials and instruction sheets to be used in all aspects of development and manufacturing, using both computer based and manual drafting tools.

A qualified candidate MUST MEET the following criteria:

• 6+ months experience in SolidWorks 2014, Solidworks EPDM and with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to read structural floor plans and engineered drawings
• Engaging and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively within ambiguous and shifting design constraints
• Able to work with little supervision from engineer
