Our client is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for their company located near New Hyde Park, NY.
This is a full time permanent position.
Salary contingent upon experience
The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a manufacturing Engineer who has been responsible for the creation and implementation of a machine shop with heavy equipment. Will be creating the layout, setting up the machinery, ensuring efficiency and proper working order.
Will be responsible for overseeing staff and assigning work orders. Will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
Occasional travel
Five or more years of engineering experience
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s degree a PLUS
CAD experience
Implementation and creation of a machine shop
Registered Engineer preferred
3 years of solid project engineer performance
Ability to oversee projects
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Work well in accordance to deadlines and stay calm under pressure
Excellent problem solving abilities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
