This Senior Financial Analyst role supports the UHC E&I UMR business with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Understand the UnitedHealth Group financial process and become an active participant in the management of its financials
Partner with senior business leaders to collaboratively develop and manage SG&A & WFTE plans, budgets, and forecasts
Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
Forecast staffing needs and partner with project managers, subject matter experts and leadership to develop workforce tools
Create financial models and perform analysis for business leaders and finance management
Collaborate with segment finance to understand and demonstrate complex concepts in ways that leads to understanding by a variety of audiences
Conduct cost-benefit analysis, calculate cost impact, summarize and present to a larger audience
Work closely with the business to help develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field
5+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
Demonstrated experience performing financial and variance analysis, budgeting, and monthly forecasting
Strong MS Excel skills – pivot tables, lookups, etc.
Strong ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
Strong executive presence, communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
