Job Description
The Regional Human Resources Manager (HRM) aligns business objectives with employees and management in their designated market. The HRM serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. A successful HRM acts as an employee champion and change agent. The HRM assists in driving store culture, people development and the employee experience. The HRM assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates those needs proactively with the HR department and business management. The HRM formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRM represents the Company in their geographic regions and therefore is held to the highest standards of ethics, integrity and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Culture:
Assists in hiring, training and retaining the highest quality team members who exhibit energy, excitement and enthusiasm
Works with Store Managers and MSM's on community focused events that build sales and support our communities
Uses the Company metrics and tools to assist the store managers on coaching to the Critical Success Factors and the proper behaviors needed to be a world class selling organization
Treasures diversity and staffs to meet the demands of the community
Responsible for all employee relations functions in the market.
Oversees the administration and implementation of Employee Relations policy, procedures, programs and various HR and Retail Division projects including projects associated with the Retail Division.
People Development:
Keeps a detailed succession plan to build and develop the bench for the key positions (manager, designer, sales professionals)
Oversees the La-Z-Boy University Training Stores to ensure successful execution of and compliance with the training program.
Assists MSM to conduct regular leadership training sessions to build a well balanced team
Leads all activities with the highest ethical standards and demands the same from their teams
Creates, develops and updates items such as policies, and procedures. Educating associates and coordinates implementation.
Work with management on effective documentation and standardization of processes
Responsible with the implementation of an annual associate review process.
Train Store Managers in various HR related topics such as: recruitment/selection, staffing techniques, disciplinary discussions, exit interviews, etc.
Safety, Standards/ Operations:
Conduct Store Standards visits to ensure stores are following the Company programs
Reviews coaching logs and training certifications to compliance
Monthly and periodic reporting to including headcount and associated organizational chart changes/updates
Responsible for being a resource for programs related to health care and other employee benefits
Other duties as assigned
