3M is seeking an IT Intern for the Film Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organization located in Decatur, AL. Ready to be a part of what's next?
Job Summary :
An intern (typical 10-12 week, full-time schedule assignment) position is a temporary assignment with 3M's Corporate Student Programs. Corporate Student Programs is designed to provide 3M with the opportunity to identify qualified candidates for regular employment, and to provide students with the opportunity to integrate their academic knowledge with work experience. As a Student Programs participant located in Decatur, AL you will develop skills, and gain work experience in your field of study.
This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.
The Decatur systems team is responsible for supporting current plant operations while planning and implementing software around strategic initiatives. The responsibilities range from system and database administration to software development. This group delivers technology-enabled solutions that help business units achieve their goals. The position of IT Intern may include performing requirements analysis, planning, design, implementation, quality assurance, and deployment along with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, production, and management functions.
Paid round trip travel and subsidized housing will be provided where applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Software Engineering discipline from an accredited university
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Previous internship experience
- Previous experience working in Information Technology
- Excellent communication skills
