Dry Cleaning Route Driver - Full-time

Wayzata Home Laundry & Dry Cleaners is a family owned dry cleaning business operating in Wayzata since 1955.
Job Description: Provide excellent service by making on-time and accurate deliveries and pick-ups according to an established schedule. The job will be based out of Wayzata and is a 4-day route (M,T, Th, and F), approximately 24-30 hours per week. Coordinates pick-up and delivery scheduling with management. Posts and ensures accuracy and correctness of all orders. Neatly loads truck for efficient delivery. Keeps truck clean and orderly. Driver will follow a manifest that defines stop order based on each customer's delivery location for optimum efficiency and accuracy. A company vehicle, fuel card, GPS device and cell phone are provided. Accurately maintains route log. Completes and submits required daily, weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner. Ensures complete customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Drives Company vehicle to and from their assigned location to stops within designated territory.
* Delivers dry clean orders to and from customers to their assigned location and to assigned location for processing.
* Loads and unloads the vehicle.
* Promotes and increases route sales.
* Develops and establishes customer relationships.
* Issues promotional materials to prospective customers.
* Communicates any changes in service or prices to existing customers.
* Listens to and attempts to resolve customers' complaints regarding the service.
* Maintains the appearance (inside and outside) of the assigned Company vehicle
* Inspects vehicle before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating vehicle condition to Management.
* Responsible for maintaining company vehicles in a clean and usable condition.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
* Ability to speak and communicate effectively with external and internal customers.
* This position includes medium work, lifting up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
* Twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk and reach frequently in the performance of responsibilities.
* Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with customers, staff and others in the community.
* Ability to read a map and/or GPS, and navigate within the geographic territory (Minneapolis/western suburbs).
* Sit for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting in a vehicle.
* Move around repeatedly throughout the day including in and out of vehicles.
* Apply manual dexterity to handle and manipulate objects, tools and controls.
* Visual acuity and ability for safe operation of a motorized vehicle, and to review detailed reports and information.
* Must be able to work in inclement weather, and exit and enter a vehicle frequently.
* Professional demeanor and appearance.
* 5 years clean DMV, parking tickets okay
* Valid Class C Minnesota driver's license
* Able to perform basic math computations to include percentages.
* Basic computer knowledge and keyboard skills.
* Must be able to pass background screening and drug test
* Cannot smoke in or around the company vehicle
* Must follow all driving laws and be a courteous driver.
Education/Training/Experience:
* Two to four years related work experience in delivery service (any industry).
* High School or equivalent.
