About this job
POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensure all accounting
procedures/processes are completed to meet daily/monthly deadlines/closing
schedules.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs general accounting
tasks/duties (e.g., conducts audits, reconciles accounts, completes debit
memos, completes journal vouchers, etc.)
Monitors, identifies, and
resolves potential workflow problems within the department
Assists in performing quality
control duties (e.g., completes quality audits)
Performs a variety of other
functions/ad-hoc projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager
to aid in the department's/company's achievement of goals and business
objectives
Researches and resolves
accounting discrepancies in a timely manner, including correspondence with
external contacts, when necessary
Qualifications
Qualifications
Accounting degree or equivalent
experience/training (minimum 2 years experience)
Proficient with Microsoft Word,
Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of general accounting
principles/procedures
Knowledge of airline ticketing
policies/procedures, tariffs/taxes
Knowledge of auditing
procedures
Good written and verbal
communication skills
Ability to effectively interact
with all levels of employees
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to effectively handle
multiple projects with minimal supervision
Airline/travel agency
accounting experience
Accounting research
skills/experience
Experience/knowledge specific to
individual Revenue Accounting department
