Sodexo is currently seeking a General Manager, Environmental Services at Fountain Valley Medical Center. This Tenet facility is a 400 bed acute care hospital. They have won awards for their heart and stroke care, neonatal and pediatric care, high-risk obstetrical services, bariatric surgery, and orthopedics, spine and neurosurgery. This is one of the largest hospitals in Orange County.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years previous General Manager / Director Level custodial or housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. Proven results in positively impacting HCAHPS and patient satisfaction, superior interpersonal skills and a track record of being highly integrated with the ability to build relationships throughout the organizations they have previously worked at is a must. Must have experience with joint commission inspections and be completely familiar with all regulations governing hospitals, to include biohazard waste and pharmaceutical waste. This position will lead a staff of front-line hourly employees, and will report directly to the District Manager.

Also, a proven Sodexo background with our UOS (Unit Operating Systems), TRAKKAR, HUR, FOSS, CARES and demonstrated organized leadership style and drive for result approach to hold all employees and management team members accountable for results on a daily basis is highly desired. Being bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Position Summary

Directs all housekeeping operations at a single unit. Supervises all cleaning personnel. Responsible for maintaining payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 4 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
