Summary of Position:
Clean, sanitize and restock tables. Sweep excess debris from the dining and serving
areas. Clean spills immediately and check restrooms for cleanliness and restocking
every 1⁄2 hour throughout the day. Must be able to accurately engage in cash and or
credit card transactions with guest. Follow all established operating procedures relating
to food safety; sanitation; preparation; storage; serving. Providing exceptional customer
service is non-negotiable.
Minimum Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared, packaged and
served according to the FIVE GUYS LMS recipes, portioning, cooking and
serving standards
§ Provide orientation of company policies and procedures and oversee the training
of new team members in a safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
§ Fill in where needed to ensure exceptional customer service standards and
efficient operations are maintained
§ Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative
maintenance programs
§ When scheduled to receive products, you must ensure all products ordered are
received in accordance with predetermined product specifications and received
in correct unit count; serviceable condition and deliveries are performed in
accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures
§ Control food cost and usage by following proper product storage procedures,
food preparation procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures
§ Responsible for training all team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
§ Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control
points to include daily completion of the time and temperature log
§ Accurately enter orders into POS
§ Provided greeting to everyone entering the restaurant
§ Ensure all windows are cleaned throughout scheduled shift
§ Ensure all stainless steel equipment is cleaned and shined throughout scheduled
shift
§ Ensure open sign is turned on at opening time and turned off at closing time
§ Ensure outside seating area umbrellas are open and set 5 minutes prior to
opening and closed and covered at closing time
§ Ensure end of day sales reports match cash and credit card transactions.
§ Keep dining room clean and organized
§ Ensure nozzles and diffusers from the beverage dispensers are properly cleaned
at closing time
§ Maintain adequate levels of napkins, tableware, cups and condiments for the
customers
§ Ensure trash from dining room is taken to dumpster at designed times
§ Ensure Front Counter clean, organized and restocked
Qualifications:
§ Certification of FIVE GUYS University online training course.
§ Must be able to communicate clearly with team members and customers.
§ Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
§ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
