We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Clearwater, FL manufacturing company is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a desire to excel in a fast paced growing company. The position requires someone who will closely monitor the process/ product quality (all day, every day) and then make improvements to methods, tooling, training, flow/ layout, and designs that drive towards.

 

$50-$80k/annual (based on experience and interviews)

 

Duties Include:

         Develop, update and improve processes (Methods/ SOP s).

         Utilize FMEA s/ Mistake Proofing to prevent defects

         Design, build, and purchase tooling/ fixtures/ jigs.

         Train operators on SOP s/ methods, tooling, safety, Lean, etc.

         Monitor process effectiveness closely, then react appropriately

         Implement and sustain Lean production (Flow, Layout, 5S, etc.).

         Provide Design For Manufacturing feedback to Design Engineering.

         Team with operators & design engineers to solve production problems.

         Lead quality improvement with minimal supervision.

         Maintain Manufacturing BOM s.

         Improve overall workplace safety/ ergonomics.

         Cross-train in other engineering areas.

         Other duties may be assigned.

 

Requirements Include:

         Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering degree (engineering degree required).

         Excellent ability to identify, fix, and prevent quality problems.

         Experience enabling significant defect reductions.

         5-10 years of experience supporting production as a manufacturing engineer (Work instructions, Tools/ Equipment, BOM s, Operator Training, Safety, Lean Manufacturing, quality improvement significant defect reductions).

         Minimum of 5 years of problem-solving experience (Six Sigma Green Belt Preferred).

         Strong fixture/ jig design and build skills (welding preferred).

         Strong feedback & training (TWI Certification preferred) skills.

         Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills required.

         Strong in Microsoft Office and MRP/ ERP computer skills.
