SolarWinds Network Management Professional needed for a contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Needham, MA.
Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Experience with engineering/implementation of Network Management Systems (SolarWinds).
- Certified in SolarWinds Certified Professional and/or CCNP, CCSP.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Execute customization of SolarWinds system and installed modules. ie: Network Performance Monitor, Server and Application Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, Netflow Traffic Analyzer, IP Address Manager, Storage Resource Manager, Voice & Network Quality Monitor. including custom scripting and programming.
- Articulate and document a Network Management architecture from the dataflow level to the presentation level. Ensure all systems communicate and interact in an appropriate manner to achieve all O&M objectives and reporting requirements.
- Develop a Network Management evolution plan that provides for incremental growth of Network Management and OS capabilities to further enhance Network Management efficiency's and performance. This work should include shared database management, process automation and management of new service types
- Work with NOC personnel to understand and design workflow and coordinate systems capabilities with NOC requirements.
- Define resource plan for implementing defined architecture and recommended project plan.
- Perform project engineering and task management functions.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other related field, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience that equates to 8-10 years direct IP network systems engineering experience.
- Minimum of eight to ten years directly related work experience in network, security administration and/or system engineering
- Professional certifications such as SolarWinds Certified Professional, CCNP or CCSP are preferred
