Definition: This is a sem i - technical working level for ground support equipment mechanics. Incumbents at this level work under the general supervision of a lead aircraft technician and repair and maintain aerospace ground support equipment, aircraft fuel tenders, generator sets, tow tractors, forklifts, and associated equipment.

Minimum Qualificatio n s : Possession of the following certificates: a valid class C California driver's license and five years of aerospace industry work experience in the repair and maintenance of aircraft grOtmd support equipment.
Know l e d g e and Abilities: Maintenance and repair methods, techniques, and practices to perform scheduled inspections; repair and maintenance of aerospace ground support equipment including aircraft jacks, aircraft power units, hydraulic units, forklifts, row tugs, generator sets, aircraft fuel tenders, and associated equipment; shop operational procedures and shop safety procedures. Perform maintenance and repair on aerospace ground support equipment including aircraft jacks, power units, hydraulic units, forklifts, tow tugs, generator sets, aircraft fuel tenders, and associated equipment; work in a shop environment safely and effectively inspect and assess maintenance problems on ground support equipment and plan for and accomplish preventative maintenance.
