Position Summary:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, refrigeration unit and equipment by performing the following duties.
Sysco North Texas is located at 800 Trinity Dr. Lewisville, TX 75056.
Responsibilities:
Observes mechanical devices in operations and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months previous diesel mechanic experience High School Diploma or Equivalent To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Freon certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift up to 90lbs.
