Position Purpose:

The Director of Business Operations (DBO) is responsible for long-range planning and the short-term focus of project management, leading and supporting D23 initiatives, process improvements and building productive relationships among HDMS, D23 and 3rd Party service providers.  Through process efficiencies, cost controls, analytics, and project improvement initiatives, the incumbent will build and maintain a best-in-class customer experience through continuous improvement in people, process, and technology interfaces.

This position manages the analytics team, merchandising support team, calculations team and resolutions team within HDMS.  This position also works closely with THD stores and 3rd party service providers to ensure continuous improvement in business processes, communications, and overall internal and external customer experiences.

The DBO ensures the HDMS merchant support team is working directly with D23 and The Home Depot approved service providers to accurately maintain pricing and installation rules within the HDMS System.

This position ensures the resolutions team resolves all installer or other job-related issues, making sure they are handled in a timely manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations.  This position ensures the Calculations team is operated in an efficient manner, producing quality and timely quotes for our sales team.  This position also monitors the Claims team to promote quick & objective trouble-shooting regarding job discrepancies (e.g. unforeseen work).


Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
40%-Collaborates with HDMS and D23 internal operations teams and service providers to drive optimization and standardization of processes, and quality
15%-Utilizes D23 merchandising strategy to drive operational focus, and technology enhancements
30%-Responsible for analysis and providing key decision support on strategic initiatives and technology advancements.
15%-Responsible for effective operations within calculations & resolutions teams. Looks for ways to leverage technology to improve operating platform

Nature and Scope: This position reports to HDMS General Manager. This position has 5 direct reports.

Environmental Job Requirements: Environment: 2. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.Standard Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: 5.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. 

Certifications & Licenses: Physical Requirements: 4. Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
