Research & Development Composite Engineer needed for a Direct opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

What You'll Be Doing:

- Responsible for design, develop and testing of new processes, materials and resin systems to reduce cycle time whilst improving/maintaining performance of commercial aircraft seating.
- Capability to provide best practice composite processing methods and problem solving and to provide hands on instruction on current/future composite curing techniques and practices.
- Implementation of methods supporting bid cost requirements.
- To create and provide work instructions for new projects prior releasing to the shop floor. So that production staff have a complete method of manufacture at the beginning of making a new part.
- Where required, create prototype composite parts to ensure methods of manufacture are efficient and to the required standard.
- Assess tooling requirements for new programs for the robust and efficient methods of manufacture.
- Approach vendors for quotations and procure tooling to meet budget, if required.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- PhD level education in a technical / engineering discipline;
- Six (6) plus years experience required.
- Composite development/design experience with seating in aircraft commercial, aircraft interior monuments, automotive or military highly desired.
- Relevant production engineering experience of working in a fast paced production environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of independent decision making and managing time to meet strict schedule.
- Demonstrable track record in bringing best practice to similar operations.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proven ability to lead and coach other team members.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office suite experience at intermediate level.
- Excellent Project Management experience.
- Proven Change Management experience Safety Oriented.
