Director Delivery Support

Position Purpose:
The Director of Delivery Support has responsibility for building and maintaining an integrated approach to all
20M+ Home Depot deliveries. These functions include contracts, utilization, carrier performance
management, exception management, back-end functions (Claims, Freight Audit & Pay), SOPs, policies,
and systems capabilities. The position is also responsible for all Home Depot managed line-haul to last-mile
delivery locations as well as Parcel and LTL carrier performance. This role partners with the Director of
Delivery Execution (which manages carrier/field execution and escalations), store, and corporate functions to
enable the maximum customer and financial benefit from new delivery capabilities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

• 25%-Defines and documents policies, SOPs, and creates a holistic process for carrier scorecards, exception management tools, claims, and freight payment
• 25%-Creates and manages a contracts strategy that aligns with the Delivery roadmap and partners with procurement to negotiate contracts to support the transformation
• 25%-Manages line-haul strategy as well as Parcel and LTL performance
• 25%-Works with solutions and IT teams to enable system capabilities that are scalable to support the growing delivery business

Nature and Scope:
This position reports to Senior Director.This position has 3-6 Direct Reports

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not
objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must pass Background Check.
• Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a PhD program in a field of
study related to the job.

Work Experience Required: 10

Physical Requirements:
 Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Experience leading large teams
• Delivery operations experience
• Experience successfully implementing cross-functional projects (major systems implementations, network roll-outs, etc.)
• Project Management experience
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management
