Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for client support and positive employee relations for an employee base of NYC Sales Employees. This position serves as a senior HR presence with local client groups in assisting with HR issues as it relates to running the day-to-day operations of the business. The Manager, Human Resources, will serve as a business partner with client group/operations leadership, collaborating on business strategy, implementing key HR initiatives, and ensuring a positive union-free work environment, that both engages employees and drives operational excellence. In addition, the Manager, Human Resources, will partner with the HR Centers of Expertise (COE) including; Training and Development, Talent, Compensation, Benefits and HR Operations to deliver HR programs and services to the client group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with change management, coaching and development of area leadership

- Applies HR strategies around employee engagement, positive employee relations, policy development and employee culture to client groups

- Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role and may guide the activities of lower level personnel

- Provide support to clients with the implementation, administration, and delivery of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company

- Focus on service delivery with client groups

- Partner closely with client group people leaders to ensure the consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues

- Counsels leaders on managing performance issues and partners with them on the delivery of all corrective actions at the written warning stage and any that progress beyond that step as well

- Coach Managers in their communication, feedback, recognition and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them

- Build knowledge of the organization, key business drivers, internal processes and customers in an effort to better help assigned client groups meet their business needs

- Participate in team meetings within respective client groups to proactively develop solutions to support business strategy and to establish and maintain productive internal and external working relationships

- Promotes client group activities around the company’s Mission & Values and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

- Handles day-to-day employee relations matters

- Ensures new hires and all employees complete all required LMS trainings within designated timeframe

- Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources Management and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent work experience is required. SHRM certification preferred (SHRM-SCP/CP)

- Seven to ten years’ related professional HR business partner experience required

- Requires proven ability to think strategically, use good judgment, as well as possess strong analytical, decision making, negotiation and problem solving skills

- Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations is required

- Strong experience base in handling and resolving complex employee relations issues required

- Must be able to effectively interact, provide direction, and resolve problems in employment matters with division-wide personnel and external customer/applicants

- Requires strong facilitation skills and proven ability to interface with all levels of the Company

- Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure and meet goals/deadlines is a must

- Must be able to work effectively in a highly matrixed, fast- paced, change-oriented, and challenging work environment

- Requires the use of effective verbal and written communication skills in the development and presentation of human resources programs with all levels of personnel within the organization

- Can effectively coach and counsel managers and employees in various employment matters, as well as represent the company in legal employment matters

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills is required

- Travel to other locations within the Hudson Valley market required on a regular basis
